This is the post excerpt.
I am a firm believer that the healthiest food on the planet is a plant based diet. My lunch consisted of zucchini noodles smothered in cashew cheese served on a collard leaf. I added fresh parsley, organic tomatoes, & green onions, Yum! My body thanks me!
This picture looks old and grainy because it is. That is me in nursing school, almost ten years ago (I’m screaming internally). Sit down because I am about to get serious with you and let you in on a scary reality that most nurses know but don’t talk about. The face of nursing is changing. […]

It is so important to take the time out daily (at least 10 minutes) to sit and meditate to reduce stress. One of my favorite ways to meditate is by focusing on the breath. The method that I utilize is the one that I learned during my meditation certification. This technique was created by Dr Weil who is the founder of the Arizona Centre of Integrative Medicine. With this method you breath in through your nose for the count of 4. You then hold this breath for the count of 7 & then breathe out of your mouth for the count of 8. You repeat this process 3 additional times for a total of 4 breaths. This technique helps you to concentrate on the breath while energizing your cells with oxygen. Blessings
